New Horizons Fifth Annual International Golf Tournament

Golf Las Vegas

Wednesday, August 18, 2003: Join us for the Fifth Annual New Horizons International Golf Tournament. As part of the 2004 International Conference, this event will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the beautiful TPC at The Canyons golf course in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The tournament format will allow each participant to play a role in your foursome’s success by offering a “scramble” on the front nine followed by “best ball” on the back! Departure from the Marriott will begin at 6:00am and the tournament is scheduled to run from 6:30am (Shotgun Start) to 11:30am.

Opened in 1996, the TPC at The Canyons, has hosted the SENIOR PGA TOUR's Las Vegas Classic in past years, and is currently one of the host courses for the 2004 PGA TOUR’s Las Vegas Invitational.

The natural elements at The TPC at The Canyons golf course are impossible to overlook. Dramatic scenery abounds including views of Red Rock Canyon. The course design team, including PGA Professional Raymond Floyd, took great care to showcase this natural beauty whenever possible.

But the same natural landscape within the course boundaries can be both fascinating and frustrating for golfers. While the course meanders over several hundred acres, it has only 110 acres of irrigated land making the TPC at the Canyons a stern test of shot-making, as well as strategy and game management. There is more room than a player might think, particularly off the tees, but throw in prevailing winds and a number of elevation changes and you have a golf course that doesn't have much let-up!

You will soon see why the TPC at The Canyons was the 138th course in the world - and just the second in Nevada at the time it opened - to earn distinction as a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System.

Participation in this year’s event is $80.00 USD per player, which includes golf amenities such as Driving Range and balls, golf cart, 18-holes of golf, valet services, as well as transportation from the hotel to the golf course and post-tournament return. Deadline for registration is August 1st. Registrations will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow will be waitlisted and confirmed up until the tournament if cleared. Registration is non-refundable, but is transferable to another attendee by notifying the event manager at nhu@newhorizons.com

Continental breakfast and tournament prizes are included in the participation fee. If you are interested in joining us for a round of great golf, camaraderie, and good times, please register for the Golf Tournament on the International Conference registration site TBD Questions regarding the event may be directed to: nhu@newhorizons.com
